Angelina Jolie has been nominated and is "under consideration" for a position on the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations, a New York thinktank. The Board will meet in June to vote on the application. I'm sure it's a done deal for Angelina, as merely showing up for a meeting will ensure tons of publicity for the Council. Other members of the thinktank are Bill Clinton, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Madeline Allbright, Henry Kissinger, Alan Greenspan, Barbara Walters and Lisa Ling. There's a mixed crowd for you.
People care so much about what Angelina has to say about foreign relations that she has an editorial on Darfur published in the Washington Post today.
