Medical Examiner's Update on Anna Nicole's Autopsy

The chief of police reported that no illegal drugs were found in Anna Nicole's hotel room, only prescription drugs. There was also no evidence that would suggest a crime had been committed.

Dr. Joshua Perper, the Medical Examiner then reported his findings. The autopsy, which lasted approximately 6 hours, excluded any types of physical injuries. She did have minor bruising on her back which was the result of a fall in the bathroom. She had a small amount of blood in her stomach which was due to the shock her body was in at the time of her death. Dr. Perper also said that she did have some kind of stomach flu. There is no indication that she had taken any of the drugs that were found in the room but they have not gotten results of a toxicology test as of yet. He has not ruled out drugs though. He emphasized that more tests are needed to determine cause of death.
"There are a number of possibilities that could have caused her death. It could have been due to natural causes, due to some medication or chemicals ingested or that there was a combination of natural causes and medication but at this time we do not have results to determine that."
They did not find any pills in her stomach. They also did not find, in her intestines, that there was any evidence of chronic abuse. It is Dr. Perper's intent to question the nurse that was in the room with Anna Nicole.
UPDATE: CNN is reporting that Police sources are saying there is no evidence of a crime.

wheres howard stern. why isn't he saying anything. isn't it an amazing coincidence that he was in the room when Anna Nicole's son died and in the room when Anna Nicole died. maybe the police should look at him and question him.
