As Anna Nicole's casket was brought into the Mt Horeb Baptist Church, it was a very powerful and solemn moment , reported MSNBC's Rita Cosby, soon after leaving the church.
Vergie Arthur gave a very personal speech about how much she loved Anna.
Larry Birkhead stood up and said "I know she was very special to everyone in this room" and then told some funny stories about Anna Nicole and ended by saying "Goodnight Sweet Anna baby", and then broke down and wept.
Howard K Stern, also spoke about Anna's rags to riches life and then turned on Vergie Arthur, by saying that testimony last week in the hearing was all lies, and that he knew the truth. After his speech, Howard K Stern's supporters got up and clapped.
We can't get over that. Clapped Howard K Stern at a funeral!! This could have been grandstanding for the television cameras that were present in the church. It has been rumored that Howard K Stern has made a deal with Entertainment Tonight for the exclusive rights to the funeral. Other speculation is that Richard Milstein was having it filmed for Dannielynn. We're going with the Stern rumor.
The funeral procession is now on the way to the graveside, where Anna Nicole will be buried with an urn containing half the ashes of her late husband, J Howard Marshall.
