After Eddie Murphy lost the Best Supporting Actor Oscar on Sunday night, he got up and left his seat. TMZ reported that Murphy was "a sore loser" and stormed out of the Kodak Theatre. However, according to his rep, he would have left even if he had won.
"Eddie had always planned on leaving after his category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family," says rep Arnold Robinson, adding, "He did the same thing following the Golden Globe Awards." (Murphy did win at the Globes.)I'm going with his rep's version of this story. I really like Eddie Murphy and would hate to find out that he was an angry loser! Source
