Dannielynn's Babysitter: Howard Changes Daipers

MSNBC's Rita Cosby has interviewed the woman who has looked after Dannielynn Smith since she was six weeks old. The babysitter, 71 year old Gerlene Gibson, says she loves Dannielynn like she was her own granddaughter. Rita asked Gerlene how Howard K Stern acted around the baby and Gibson said that Howard was "fine with Dannielynn, he played with her often" and sometimes even changed her diapers.

Gibson said she has been caring for Dannielynn since Anna Nicole's death and that Dannielynn was "totally safe".

Cosby asked Gibson if she thinks that Dannielynn should stay in the Bahamas, and Gibson hesitated for a long time and finally said "I would like her to stay for my sake, because I would like to be in her life since she now has no mother".

Gibson also commented that Anna Nicole barely at, often cried and spent most of her time in bed.

A hearing is being held in Florida right now to determine who gets to claim the body of Anna Nicole Smith.

I got the distinct impression from this interview that Gerlene Gibson wasn't going to be wearing a "Team Howard" t-shirt anytime soon. When asked if Dannielynn should "stay here" Cosby was of course implying "stay with Howard K Stern". Gibson hesitated for a long time, implying that she doesn't approve of Stern, without having to say it. Maybe Gerlene knows who the real father is? She did spend a lot of time with Anna Nicole and was probably a confidante, and also saw all the goings on. It is sad that Anna Nicole appeared to be so depressed.

The plot thickens.
