Are Blake and Antonella an Item?

We all remember the Antonella Barba frenzy earlier in this Season of Idol. Is Antonella set to create another swirl of publicity by dating Blake Lewis?

According to the National Ledger Blake Lewis caught Antonella's eye on Wednesday night after the show and blew her a kiss which she pretended to catch and then held to her heart. Does this mean they are dating?

I say no. First of all, can you even imagine Antonella dating Blake. I'm sure he's not her type at all - not that we'd know what her type is, seeing as we have only seen certain aspects of the men she likes to date! Secondly, if you were Blake would you go near her with a 39 and a half foot pole? I think not.

If it's true, Chris Richardson is going to be devastated now that he and Blake have revealed that they are bonded for life.

Blaze of Glory

Hands up if you think that Jon Bon Jovi is hot! And an all round great guy! I'm amazed that he didn't punch Blake Lewis in the head for beat boxing " You Give Love a Bad Name". Simon was right - I'm in the half of the audience that hated it.

Phil sang "Going Down in a Blaze of Glory". Prophecy? Jordin was miserable singing "Living on a Prayer", which she might be doing after last nights performance. Lakisha sang "This Ain't a Love Song" and Simon liked it so much he jumped up and kissed her. Chris Richardson did "Dead or Alive" and it was OK, and Melinda was just like a young, stumpy Tina Turner performing "Have a Nice Day".

It was one of the better episodes of Idol this whole season, but the main draw card was Bon Jovi himself - yummy!

Mysteries Of the Day

You are Mario Vasquez. You have just been voted into the top 12 of American Idol. Then you go into the bathroom and DO THIS! When someone complains about it, you lie and say you're so fabulous you are just going to up and leave the competition!

Why Antonella Barba keeps giving interviews is a mystery to me. She just sounds stupider and stupider!

Jennifer Hudson has signed a contract with Avon to be the spokesperson for the Imari fragrance brand. Apparently Jennifer said "... to partner with Avon is really a dream come true for me. It's exciting to be representing the Imari brand, which really embodies confidence and femininity." I'm finding it hard to believe that anyone would dream that one day they could be a spokesperson for Avon, especially when they just won an Oscar.

Viacom is suing YouTube for posting unauthorized content, which has had over $1.5 billion hits. I don't get it at all. Wouldn't you think that if people saw little clips of your shows on YouTube interest would be created and then a bitter audience would actually tune into the show? I would. Viacom's just pissed because they didn't think of YouTube first.

Antonella: Words of Wisdom?

In a post Idol interview yesterday Antonella's advice to girls was:

"Well, look, just cover your tracks, girls," Antonella said. "That's for all the girls -- be careful," she added.

How about don't do it at all and then you won't have any tracks to cover?. Antonella was playing the victim in the interview and also later to PEOPLE, where she said that the photos were just a distraction from her singing and that's what she was there to concentrate on.

When asked if she was going to pose for Playboy, Antonella answered:

No. Right now I want to look at all the offers I get and sort out what's best for me right now. I'm definitely not opposed to acting or modeling or something. I would definitely do pop music, but I would add my style to it – you know, a little R&B-ish pop music, maybe bluesy, jazzy.

Right. I believe that as much as I believe that Antonella was a victim of jealousy and didn't have anything at all to do with the photos being leaked.!!

Antonella Is Out!

I guess some slutty photos and the most searched name on the web, isn't enough to get you to the big stage on American Idol. Antonella Barba did not get enough votes last night move into the top twelve on American Idol. And didn't she look shocked. I'm sure she thought that she'd get through on her good looks and massive exposure - all puns intended. I'm still not entirely convinced she didn't leak some of those photos herself, or at least encouraged someone else to leak them for her.

Antonella now has a couple of options: 1. Work for Joe Francis on Girls Gone Wild or 2. take an offer from SugarDVD the largest renter of adult entertainment! Considering all the great decisions she's made so far in her life, I'm sure she'll choose wisely.

There were two other shockers last night, Sabrina and Sundance both went home, and Sanjaya and Haley were voted in. The shocking part is that Sabrina and Sundance can actually sing and Sanjaya and Haley can't. As Simon said, people must have been watching "with the volume turned down".

Antonella Barba: Going Wild?

What is Antonella Barba going to be doing when she gets kicked off (maybe) Idol on Thursday night? If Joe Francis has his way, she'll be "celebrity" hosting a new video of Girls Gone Wild , and Francis is willing to throw a $250,000 contract Barba's way!

Joe Francis told TMZ "We have reached out to Antonella Barba through her family and are trying to reach her directly in order to offer her a hosting job for one of our upcoming video projects. Just like the American Idol judges, we at Girls Gone Wild are looking for a girl next door, with sexiness, attitude, a carefree spirit and a presence that will command the attention of the Nation."

After seeing Antonella's photographs popping up everyday on the internet , I'm sure that hosting a Girls Gone Wild video will be a piece of cake for her!!

In other Idol news, all the men were truly horrible last night and none of them deserve to go on the "the big stage", but unfortunately six of them have to move on.

In even more Idol news, the producers of American Idol have refused to give clips of the show to the ladies over at The View, after Rosie O'Donnell, of course, has been bad mouthing the Idol.

Let's Bite The Hand That Feeds Us

I'll never understand why these people who have been on American Idol or won American Idol immediately try and distance themselves from the show once they have signed their recording contracts. I can guarantee that if Jennifer Hudson had not been on Idol and had weeks and weeks of exposure she would not be polishing her Oscar right now. Carrie Underwood is the only Idol alumni that actually thanks the show when she wins an award.

The latest controversy is Jennifer Hudson bad mouthing Simon Cowell all over the place. Extra TV has put together a nice montage of Simon praising Jennifer Hudson when she was on Idol. A couple of days ago on LA Fox 11 news Jennifer said: “He wasn’t[a fan]; someone should rewind the tapes.”

'Despite Jennifer’s claims of Simon abuse, Mr. Mean has consistently shot back at Hudson, pointing out, “We put Jennifer Hudson on ‘American Idol.’ The American audience voted her out; I didn’t kick Jennifer Hudson out.” '

I'm a huge American Idol fan and the only time I remember Simon being outright mean to Jennifer was when she wore this pink number, and Simon was quite nasty about the outfit.

My adivce to current Idols: there is nothing wrong with crediting the most popular show on TV and listing to Simon, he's the only one that makes any sense. Randy and Paula are incoherent!


In other Idol news, apparently the more religious contestants are freezing out Antonella Barba over the slutty photos and just sitting around waiting for her to be voted out!

And there is a big brou ha ha brewing over Idol's double standards!

Antonella Sticks Around Another Week

I guess America likes Miss Antonella Barba! She was not voted out of American Idol last night much to my horror.. She can't sing to save herself, and knows it, so maybe having all these leaked photos of her in compromising positions is not such a bad thing after all. Everyone is talking about her, so it's true that there is no such thing as bad publicity. She did have the grace to look a bit surprised that she wasn't going home. I wonder if the producers didn't boot her out of the show because they are relying on "America to Decide" and do the dirty work for them.

Simon Cowell said yesterday that it was disgusting that the photos were leaked as they were private. Hmmmm. Maybe she leaked them herself?

Paula was looking freshly botoxed last night. A mildly amused look and an unwrinkled forehead gave the game away.

Even more shocking to me than Antonella getting to stay on Idol, were Kellie Pickler's new, enormous boobs. Kellie was singing to promote her new single. Ryan Seacrest asked what she'd been spending her money on while looking directly at her massive new chest, and Pickler replied "shoes". Seacrest kept pushing "Is that all?". She wouldn't say, but trust me, you couldn't miss them!
